strawberries & cream

top: clothing at tesco
cardigan: primark
skirt: H&M
necklace: primark

What a beautiful day today has been. I do really love this time of year, just before the big buzz of summer when everybody is starting to get excited. It’s my Mum and Dad’s wedding anniversary as well today, silly buggers got married on 29th February so although it’s been 20 years, they’ve only celebrated it 5 times, cuties!
I got told I look like Sarah Jessica Parker today, I think because of my choice of outfit. I always struggle to style this skirt because it doesn’t quite know whether to sit on my hips or waist, today I felt I’d done a good job though.
Also I hope you checked out UNESTABLISH in my sidebar, they're a great online store with some gorgeous clothing.

no time for changing spots

 shirt: H&M
shorts: H&M
coat: H&M via ebay
earrings: unknown (a gift from years ago)

I promise this isn’t a sponsored post, even though my outfit is pretty much all H&M. I guess that’s what happens when you work there. I brought the shorts online for something ridiculous like £3. It’s weird because they’re still full price in store but were reduced on the internet before Christmas. One thing I don’t understand about that company is their sales.
You may notice I'm wearing more eye make up in this post. I saw a picture of myself a friend took at university for her studio project and I looked such a tired state, and they were taken in the morning! I don't really do really heavy makeup but I'm just trying out a little more to see how I like it.

Check out the banner in the sidebar for UNESTABLISH online store. I think it is important for me and my blog that when I advertise an online store or product that it is something I would willingly use myself. I had a browse on the website and some of the items on there are gorgeous, so make sure you check them out!

London, i love you

  dress: H&M
blazer: H&M
bag: avon
boots: H&M

Unless you’ve been living under a rock you’ll know it was fashion week last week, and what follows a week? A weekend! So as I had rudely been left of the guest list for fashion week (I wish!) I bought tickets for the weekend, which still included watching a catwalk show and wondering round Somerset House looking at all the gorgeous designer clothes.
My photos of the catwalk show came out awful so I haven’t even bothered including them because they were pointless, but some of the outfits were gorgeous. I saw Holly Fulton’s new collection along with Miss Molly and Jasper Conran. The trends this spring are gorgeous! I’m in love with all the collars and sherbet shades that are floating round.
We also did a bit of the old tourist thing. When in London and all that! We visited Hamley’s and M&M World. Walked through Piccadilly circus and I got a few snaps along the embankment. I love how in London everything is 10x bigger than everywhere else, it’s completely magical.
I thought I’d keep my outfit simple, and my go to style lately seems to be a blazer over a dress. And my Chelsea boots just seem to look good with everything.

tick tock tick tock

top: peacocks
shorts: topshop
blazer: H&M
necklace: ebay
watch: red herring

I’ve been on the mend this week, I feel much better today than I did Sunday, which is good, because I’m off to London tomorrow for fashion weekend. I went into panic mode in H&M earlier trying on loads of different dresses to try and find one to wear Friday. After trying all of them on, and having a hot flush like a menopausal woman, I decided I have a dress I’m in love with at home and it just required a new jacket - typical. So one of the guys I work with ran round the shop like a personal shopper picking up blazers for me. What a darlin’!
I brought the necklace for my little sister a while ago, so I think it’s only fair that she shares it. The clasp is broken but I kinda like it broken. I found a similar one on ebay here and they are so cheap I might order a new one.

week #7

LFW tickets // charlotte at wing wah with her mouse balloon // my empty arm after loosing my friendship bracelet // broken fob watch // my gorgeous baby nephew
I’ve been a rubbish blogger this past week and I promise to be better next week. I have an outfit post lined up, but since coming down with a chest infection on Friday I can hardly drag myself out of bed long enough to post about it. The lovely doctor has given me an inhaler and antibiotics so I will hopefully be better before my trip to London on Thursday.
Also if you would like to follow me on instagram you can search me (@lindseyyylou) and I promise next week, I will be back to my usual blogging self.
