Month in photos: October

October has been so much fun! My month started with Mum's birthday, which she got about ten bouquets of flowers for, followed by Abi's birthday, which meant only one thing... A night out in Birmingham! After being reunited with Dan we went for lunch in Ironbridge and made the most of the pretty photo opportunities the little town has to offer. It also wouldn't be October without Halloween, and it wouldn't be Halloween without a little face carved into a fat pumpkin, so we spent our Sunday doing that. My photography course arranged a trip to Liverpool to visit the galleries, so me and Naomi made the most of it by shopping and eating there too.

Happy Halloween!

What I bought: October

Real Techniques Shading Brush - Boots
The first brush in my new collection of Real Technique brushes.
 Pink bowl - IKEA
I saw this and thought it would look cute with my pink cup on my bedside table. I quickly found a use for it.
 Printed dress - H&M
I was so undecided about this dress because it looks like it would be really thin and see through, but I took the plunge anyway as it could always be a beach dress.
 Magazine holders - IKEA
I bought these to organise all my H&M catalogues that I collect for some reason. And the other one fitted my sketchbooks in perfectly.
 Glass vase - IKEA
I had to buy a vase when Daniel surprised me with flowers last week. This one seemed an adequate size for various sized bouquets.
 Blue top - H&M
This top is actually going back. The only reason I bought it is because I needed to make my order up, but there are so many things I would rather buy. I don't tend to wear plain tops like this so it was a bit of an odd purchase.
 Peeptoe flatforms - River Island
I wanted these for ages so I made the most of student discount at River Island and got them with 20% discount.
Tray - IKEA
I wanted a little silver tea tray to stand all my perfume bottles on, but instead found this cute one.
 Leggings - H&M
After decided Disco Pants don't suit me at all, I decided I best at least invest in a new pair of leggings. These are H&M's £7.99 ones which are so worth the price considering the thickness.

I still see your ghost

 top: H&M
skirt: Topshop
jacket: New Look
boots: H&M
watch: Red Herring

You probably all know by now that this is what I wore on Friday for Pink Friday for breast cancer awareness. This is one charity that is close to my heart since my Nan lost her battle to cancer when I was just two years old. It's close enough to my heart that I threw myself 10,000ft out of a plane to raise money for it, and I'd happily do it again in a heartbeat.

The jacket and skirt have been part of my wardrobe for a few years and the top is one I picked up last Christmas in H&M when the collar trend wasn't as big as it is now.

I'm not feeling on my best today, all of a sudden everyone seems to be hit with the dreaded cold, and I was no exception. My nose has been on top form in the sniffling department so I braved university then came home and snuggled in my pyjamas. I'm going on a trip to Liverpool tomorrow so I'm going to watch Made in Chelsea now then head off to bed.

Friday's outfit - pink for breast cancer awareness

I've had such a lovely week, visiting Ironbridge, IKEA, getting flowers. Being back together with Daniel after 18 months is so lovely, having someone to share all the instagram moments with is special, and his interest in my photography course means I never need go out shooting on my own. Starting this week we took a trip to Ironbridge for my Site and Spatiality project but it was drizzling the whole time so we're going to go back when it's sunny.

He also bought me flowers this week. My Nan died of cancer when I was two, so when writing a tweet about breast cancer, I got a little emotional and on Friday he turned up with a beautiful bouquet of flowers (I won't let him tell me how much they cost!)

I hope you've all had a lovely week. I'm off for Sunday Roast at Daniel's parents now after so long. Enjoy you're Sunday night!
